The Braves are capable of overtaking the Nats for the NL East. and the Mets have an outside chance at best for a Wild Card but the Braves are owneds by Liberty Media and they have put a cap on what they want to spend on players and it is I believe close to what the Mets cap is BUT why can the Braves be an elite team year after year and go after players like Greinke and have a very strong farm system and yet the Mets with a siomilar playroll seem to flounder and not be “players” in the trade market. I just don’t understand this. I think the Braves payroll is very close to the Mets’ payroll. What is wrong here?
