Yes, because six earned makes everything so much better, lol. He should have gotten all eight runs earned if it were up to me. It was his own error that led to the two unearned runs.

Due to that lovely little storm that hit upstate NY I missed Harvey’s Gem and Niese’s Germ but I think I know enough to say…

Whoever is the Pitching Coach in Buffalo should get put on the next Buffalo Shuffle and replace Warthen.

Harvey is going to need him and the rest of our Pitchers probably could too!
Who knows he might even fix the Bullpen when he gets here!

The good news for Niese is that he is still ahead of Jason Bay in batting average (.197 to .170) and on base percentage (.324 to .246)! Maybe Collins should bat Bay 9th and all the starting pitchers in the 6th spot. They might actually get some production that way.

This is all wrong, the manager lost foucs, the players lost focus, the coaches lost focus. What else is new, keep playing bay like he’s really goona hit. The mets need to make thr right moves now in order to save this season and beyond, but the mets brass who are jerks simply just don’t care About our team, only people coming in to pay, to pay what their salaries, that’s all they care about, assisant gm, sandy gm, and the wilpons are really a bunch of jerks, that’s right jerks. We need for them all to go, cuase as long as these owners are here we will never be a team to compete for years to come, like the yankees as much as i hate to say that, cus this hurts me as a true mets fan. Wake up you jerks.

Niese is an enigma. He may have just been flat last night but we have seen a fair number of these types of innings over the years. We have also seen Second Half Jon Niese–something I hope is not reoccuring. He has great stuff, but I suspect he has a 2 cent brain. He needs a smart catcher to call his game and a smarter pitching coach than Dan Warthen. Niese was cutter crazy last year. He really shoul d be using that tailing fastball more, and that plus curveball of his. He has never had much of a change-up, and I wonder why. The guy has tools out the yin yang.
