As I've said in the past few weeks, Louis Mateo is far too advanced for the NY Penn League. he should be at Savannah. This kid is awesome and willl blaze through the system. Mateo and Montero will hopefully be our version of the M & M boys.

The good news is Beatto and Mejia's last outings in relief went well. The bad news is Famila's and Wheeler's last outings were ugly.

It was a rough day for the Mets system. Losses most everywhere, including at the top in the National League. Brooklyn saved our bacon, but Savannah helped by having its game postponed. lol

We've got a good system. These days will happen but they better be infrequent.

Hi you incredible guys and thanks for the update.

Perhaps the best news coming down from the farm are the remarks Wally Backman had to say about Matt Harvey.

http://www.metsminorleagueblog.com/more-about-matt-harveys-latest-good-work-friday/

As I've professed, statistical analysis is not a good barometer of a player's progress. Despite the great figures Matt was posting, it's Wally's observation on how those stats were accomplished that is most important. Best news we've heard since Sandy was candid last winter about his baseball people feeling Harvey wasn't quite ready yet. Judging from Wally, it appears Matt is much close to becoming that that now.

If he is called up late in the year and Chris Young is still pitching like his old self, wonder who would be the odd man out of the rotation. Good problem to have, of course.
