100 % IN AGREEMENT ......

Sandy A is not a guy to panic...and while he has to present a positive persona at all times to the public, he knew all along that the team we saw in the first half was not going to be in the hunt for the playoffs by season's end. He did the right thing not taking the risk of re-signing Jose Reyes and will not succumb to making quick fix trades on the notion that if everything falls into place that there is a chance they will make the playoffs.

Tejada is our shortstop and should be there for years!

I honestly feel we will see some off season moves by Sandy to help fill some of our holes!

Joey D, take a deep breath, hold it, and exhale.

Better?

Now, I have been if anything very honest and respectful the few times I do choose to engage you which is very seldom.

That I point out Fonzie is cause I mentioned his name in regards to how he continually makes efforts to explain certain points often and I did not want him to think I was trying to demean his efforts for doing so.

My comment was to point out an inaccuracy not a judgement on what you said at the time. A simple oops thanks for the heads up would of sufficed.

You followed that with another statistical mistake while trying to make the point that it doesn't change what your trying to say. To which I replied that you again made a mistake (not saying you was trying to mislead in any way if that is what you was thinking) just a mistake and then I let you know what my perspective is the few times we interact unlike the one I see with you and Fonzie and why I commented to begin with and that I'd leave you to continue your discussion.

If you look at our past exchanges I could argue that if anyone has been insulted based on words said it is me.

All I can say is sorry my honesty offends you.

I am going for a 2nd time disregard your remarks toward me as just a misunderstanding on your part.

Enjoy your evening Joey D.

North,

I made a mistake in counting - an honest mistake.

But there is something else I must point out. You have the professional journalistic skills to be insulting in a subtle way and while I recognized this I remained respectful despite your unrelenting passion to be belittling in manner, rude and obnoxious. At least Fonzie has been openly honest in his feelings instead of being coy.

The latest example was making it a point not to include me with the word "respect". I'll let that stay where it belongs.

So wait, our SP ERA is 5th best in the League.... I am not sure what is your point? No matter how good your SP is, if your bullpen sucks it'd be just a wasted quality start by the pitcher... Ask Johan Santana in 2008, he could've won 22 games that year, but the bullpen blew 7 games when he left with the lead...
Stop your slurpiness of sandy alderson, he's been a terrible GM and for anybody to defend him is absurd

Alderson is a BS artist. Does he really think we believe his crap. The Mets were standpat from Day 1 this season, never intended to make a deal at any time this season. Still have hope this season? This is New York, Sandy, remember? Don't give us a con job. Loyal Met fans deserve the dignity of being told the truth. You guys planned this year as a lost season, a long "spring training" year. Don't insult us by pretending you really considered buying or selling or hoping for the playoffs. You privately welcomed that post-All Star game slump because it took the pressure off you, and kept your visionary status quo plan intact.

The Phillies traded Victorino who was in his walk year - similar to the deal some knocked SA over with Beltran. But now we're gonna praise the Phillies for it?

They traded Pence because their roster is a money pit. Are you going to tell me Pence isn't good enough to be a part of their 2013 plans? Pence would be the best hitter on the Mets outside of Wright.

They dealt Pence because Rollins-Howard-Utley-Hamels-Halladay-Lee-Papelbon are combined making over $110mil and they currently are playing like a last place team.

For all you Sandy A. bashers.......You are obviously not very observant students of the game. Why don't you see all of the holes that this team has? To think that Sandy should have been wheeling and dealing with the idea of sneaking into the playoffs is absurd. This team is still a year or two away from seriously competing. We have a bunch of young players with talent but not enough experience. These players got off to good starts but the competition has been able to exploit their weaknesses. Then there is the proverbial sophomore jinx and if ever there was one...could it be better defined than what has happened to Ike Davis?

You guys are either closet Yankee fans or expressing your "warped" ideas based on fantasy baseball leagues. Our future is Matt Harvey, followed by Zack Wheeler and the further maturity of Jonathan Niese and Dillon Gee. Add in R.A Dickey and Johann Santana for a couple of years and then we have what is considered the backbone of the "70" percent part of the game. Our recent downward spiral began when we lost Frank Francisco to injury. He had some tough outings but he had a pretty good save percentage.

Remember this....we never got beyond 7 games above .500 and that was in a division where only the Nationals were playing well constantly.

Once again....there will be no quick fix moves by this GM that will be foolish!

I Mean, LOL, what else can i say about this man that hasn't come trough about himself? he's not here to help this franchise and to top it all, he keeps mocking the fanbase and insulting our intelligence. how else do you explain him saying he'd like a top prospect for hairston?
As joe D mention, the man had a plan to delivered this speech weeks ago when he knew he wasn't doing sh**, same with reyes, as soon as he was asked about it he came up with the "we lost $70 million speech" and signed FF and Rauch right away. He does have a way to somehow keep convincing the usual slurpers , errr, suspects here about how good of a job he's doing. It's amazing how he's making a mockery of our fanbase, and it's a shame.
Little did some of you know, my friend maniac, from the CORE gave me this info, If the mets finish with a losing record this season, Sandy alderson will be one more losing season away from tying a GM record for most consecutives losing season in a row by a GM. a record that's been intact for more than 60 years.

By coming out and stating that he needed to receive a 1-3 ranked prospect to move Hairston, didn't he lose even more bargaining chips at the negoation table if/when he tries to re-sign him in the offseason? His price was already going up as it is, but coming out and stating that publically gives Hairston's agent that much more to work with. Good for Hairston...not so good for our chances to re-sign him this winter.
