If he is hit early, he might also adjust that second and third time as well.

Of 150. That’s equates to high-2 or ‘top of the rotation’ He’s a guy you can rely on to be good most times and you expect to have a good shot to win or him to battle through 5-6.

Dillon Gee is more a ‘middle’ guy, in the he had a league averagish ERA and was consistent.

Back of the rotation probably more equates to the Pelfrey types. Guys that are consistently a tick above replacement level, but don’t falter and eat innings. These guys are not going to blow up and implode like say Miguel Batista or the random drub most teams have there. (For instance, only 101 pitchers seem to qualify for the ERA title right now, meaning the average is less than 4 starters per team. So the guy that you can reliably say is “in the rotation” is valuable.

I will say that Harvey should grow into an upper rotation pitcher. A 1 doesn’t have to be an Ace and an Ace doesn’t have to be a #1. So basically I will settle for that upper rotation.

You wont find a single prospect expert that thinks he’s more than a number two, albiet a pitcher that should easily be at least a number three. IMO, Mets fans are getting a little too amped up. Wheeler could be an ace, Harvey is not. He’ll still be a good pitcher – and I hope he doesn’t get smoked tonight.
