Bullpen is the key. One option would be trading an Outfielder to the Orioles. They are decemated out there. The only outfielders on their 25 man roster are Adam Jones and newly activated Xavier Avery. Their bullpen has been lights out. I’d take any one of them for Andres Torres. That would include dare I say it…Luis Ayala.

Bullpen, Davis and Murphy. Hopefully Davis and Murphy are coming out of whatever they were in. Seems like our bullpen is always a problem.

I thought this was all about heqading into the AS Break not the rest of the season…

All this talk about the bullpen well it isn’t going to get fixed before the ASG.

As for heading into the break they need to at minimum split with the dodgers although they sure couldn’t have picked a better time to play them in LA. lets hope they don’t redeem themselves at our expense.

If we play a respectable series and win at least 3 or 4 (I sure don’t expect a sweep) of LA while the Nats are busy playing Atlanta and San Fran we have a shot to make up some ground.

Phillies games worry me a bit…Only because of the jet lag issue. but we know they are fully beatable even sweepable! They play Miami before us which likely means they will be feeling pretty good about themselves and have a win streak coming in. Pitching will be key here.

We certainly can end the first half on a high note. We should not have lost to the Cubbies but sloppy play let them win. It’s almost like they didn’t take them seriously or were just drained from the Yankee series. I think they can sweep them when playing at home.

He did say biggest concern is the bullpen. Are you only happy if somebody says he hates the GM? Are do you have to call out the GM every post to get a positive response from you? Sandy Sucks how bout a salute from the core? Lmao.

Satish – I’m concerned that the team could honestly compete for that last wild card spot and will not get the help it needs (in the bullpen or a RH Power bat). I think the reason ii might be too “early” to make a deal is that they are waiting for the team to fail so they can justify gutting it or not doing anything. Blah. I’m a skeptic.

That’s about as close to the reality of the situation among all these other responses.

It was in fact how last season played out. If you want an idea of what they will do, you have their blueprint from last season to guide you.

Some good concerns here covering what is probably the major concerns of most Mets fans.

Adding to what some have already expressed concerns over I’d say simply just losing the positive momentum the Mets have been building this season in these final 10 games before the break. Right now the Mets are 4 games above .500 you want to go into the break no worse than that if at all possible.
