It has been a roller coaster ride at times, especially with the sweeps but this team surprises many but not themselves, they and their fearless leader, our Prof. X, Terry Collins who lately it seems has allowed his starter to go longer in games and allow them to wk out of jams.

This is helping to not expose the BP which TC was doing quite a bit early in season but lately he has found the right mix and hopefully FF hiccup on Wed was his monthly one and he won’t have another one for awhile.

I enjoy this team cause you never know who is going to provide the big hit, Spin, Nickeas, Ike, Duda, Hairston, Cap Kirk or even a pitcher as RA started that rally on Monday night.
They are fun to watch and they are never out of the game.

Lets Go Mets! I say 2 out of 3 against the hated Yanks.

That is spoken about NOW. Only later, we’ll hear “Collins sucks”, “No wonder he hasn’t managed in 10 years”, “He doesn’t know what’s doing”, “We should’ve had Backman as manager” and so on and so forth. Truth is, if not for Collins (good or bad decisions), we wouldn’t be where we are. For those of you who are foolish to say “This team is not exciting to watch”, have any of you heard about Jimmy Rollins, Chipper Jones, and Beltran saying that the Mets were underrated by “experts” and Collins is the reason where we are? Wrap your head around that. TWO of the most hated rival team’s players said that. As soon as the summer gets hotter, the Mets will as well. BELIEVE IT!

Don’t know where this team will take us when it’s all said and done this season but I’m enjoying the heck out of this so far.

Past few seasons knowing we were going nowhere, many Met fans were yammering to just ‘play the kids’, let’s see what they’ve got. And besides their stellar SP lately, these kids who are playing just might be the key to what we’re watching. Enthusiastic, hoping to make a mark and stay permanently in the major. Couple with the few veterans, it appears to be a good mix that’s clicking well right now.

Good job Daniel! We need more enthusiasm, passion and support for this team from Wright, Johan and Dickey at the top, all the way down to Valdespin, Hairston and Nickeas at the bottom. This is a team effort and they show us the importance of that whenever they take the field. Lets Go Mets!

The 2012 Mets will give us more joy than heartbreak; they will continue to Amaze.

Yanks are no slouches, but I think we will give them something they haven’t expected this weekend.
