Starting Lineup
1. Kirk Nieuwenhuis CF
2. Josh Thole C
3. David Wright 3B
4. Lucas Duda RF
5. Daniel Murphy 2B

The Mets try to avoid the sweep today as they finish off their series in Washington. Yesterday the Mets just fell short of the Nationals as they lost by a score of 5-3. This afternoon should be the last game that the Mets have to play light handed as they should get a full roster back that is hopefully healthy enough to play over the weekend. Today R.A. Dickey looks to continue his incredible stretch as he takes on Chien-Ming Wang.
Dickey is 8-1 on the season over 11 starts over 73.2 innings of work with an ERA of 2.69. In his last three starts he has pitched 23.1 innings of work with an amazing ERA of 0.39. Last season he had a 1-3 record against the Nationals with a 3.82 ERA over 30.2 innings and 5 starts. The Nationals have the following numbers against Dickey:
Ankiel 9-23, 3 2B, HR
Zimmerman 4-19
Desmond 2-16, HR
Morse 4-15, 2B
Espinosa 0-11
LaRoche 2-9
Chien-Ming Wang is 1-1 on the season with a 6.43 ERA over two games, a start and 7.0 innings of work. In the minors this year he was 3-0 with a 3.52 ERA. Against the Mets last year he made two starts totaling 9.0 innings with a 6.00 ERA. The Mets have the following numbers against Wang:
Wright 4-16, 2B
Duda 3-4
Murphy 1-5
Thole 1-2, 2B

Ha! Bay out now with Flu-like symptons? #BlameBeltran hash tag just won’t do anymore. Need to come up with something new.
Hey, at least Q is in there, taped up finger and all.
What a joke Bay is turning out to be. He’s not playing any games for us anyway, just cut his ass. What a terrible waste of a roster spot. For Nieuwenhuis to lose any time to this bum is just plain wrong.
Lets see Bay who is colder than cold or Hairston who is EXTREAMLY HOT. What to do?
So we took Bay off the DL because…we wanted to waiver Egbert, Statin, Schwinden and Acosta?
The bench’s BA’s… .141, .143, .174, .216, and Bay with his killer .240.
poor, poor Bay…awww!
Who has a bigger upside today – Dickey or Wang. So far Dickey.
