Here is what I would like to see them do with Mejia….

Start him in the pen an inning before you bring him in….Make him the 8th inning guy for a game or two and get him up earlier than you normally would a 8th inning reliever.

I am betting that his issue is he is not getting ready fast enough and It would be interesting to see what he does if he gets up early enough to prepare and KNOWS when he is going to pitch to see if it has any affect.

I bet we see a very different pitcher if he knows when he is going in and starts preparing for that which is closer to preparing to be a starter.

Nice to see Familia have a decent outing. Hopefully they can get him straightened out and back on track. Pill’s line from last night looks impressive. Looks like the 2 shortstops Cecchini and Evans are off to a good start.
