Mateo and Montero will both be big pieces to the future of this team. Both guys have excellent stuff and command 3 pitches each. Montero will be here by 2014 and Mateo possibly in that time frame as well. Most likely mid season call ups but should both be a part of the rotation for a long time barring injury. Their K to BB is insane and they’re both baby’s.

Isn’t Havens in his mid twenties now? Is he still even a prospect at this point? He’s not even in Trip-A yet and he’s batting .180 last time I checked. You must be related to him.

B-Mets manager Pedro Lopez and hitting coach Luis Natera believe it’s a matter of “when,” not “if,” Reese Havens turns things around. That’s why he’s been batting near the top of the lineup, in order to get him more at-bats. It seems to be working, Since June 17, admittedly a small sample of nine games, Havens has been hitting .355. In the last two games, he’s hit a pair of home runs.

Havens has a great swing — short, compact and powerful. We’ve been down this road before with Havens. Will he stay healthy? So far this year he’s played 49 games. If and when it gets up around 70 games and he’s playing every day with his current productivity, he’ll be moved to either Buffalo or Flushing. Let’s see.

Obviously I assumed too much. Got two questions today asking me who Charlie is. That’s a photo of Denise Richards who was once married and had two kids with Charlie Sheen. Sheen of course is a die-hard Met fan who has one of the most famous Mets memorabilia collections in the world and once owned the Buckner/Mookie ball until he put it up for auction. I believe he even bailed out Dykstra a couple of times when he was jailed for his myriad of personal problems. I hope that clears everything up.

Got to listen a bit to the BMets game b4 the Mets game. The Offense was just killing Erie even Havens chimed in early with a 2 run HR. Wheeler had a rough night. For the 1st time as a Met gave up 5 runs in a game. Hopefully that doesn’t become a trend going forward.

Keeping my eye on Havens. Sure would be nice if starts putting up numbers as projected and maybe can be in the mix for 2nd base next year.

looks like Havens finally has the rust brushed off and is back in his groove. Won’t take much more of this, and he will be up in AAA where he belonged 2 years ago.

Another month – 6weeks though and he could be up in Queens, unless Murphy really turns it around.

Mark Cohoon was terrible and he’s regressed. Get Mejia back in that rotation already. Why are we wasting a potential top rotation starter throwing middle relief in AAA?
