Petey thanks for all the updates on Hampson. Glad to see a AAAA type who is hot. Justin has earned another chace to make it in the bigs by pitching well. Sandy’s and Omar’s free agents have on the whole not worked out. Come on Buffalo do it again!

And I just don’t get what the allure of him is…

We have known about this Bullpen for a month and a half now and not a peep other than us about fixing it.

Glaciers move quicker than this front office and if they think they are going to find the solutions at the deadline they have another thing coming…

Cause the Yankees went looking for Bullpen help two months ago and found nothing which is why they have a squad of AAAA Pitchers there and they are the 2nd best ERA in the leage!

I almost wonder if the reason we haven’t tried the kids WE have is because they are more worried about keeping Buffalo happy and an affiliate than they are with winning an MLB baseball game!

Ramirez should have been left down at AAA until he pitched well. Bring up one of those other kids and give them a shot.

Yankees Pen has the second lowest ERA in the MLB…
Our Pen is still the worst ERA in the league!

I don’t mind giving Hampson another chance, but I do question why he was released after putting up some good numbers in for two seasons in San Diego and then toiled in the minors since and for more than one organization. Also, after a good 2007, why was he sent down to the minors and not called up again until June the following year.

Did he have arm trouble in 2009 – this might explain why he pitched so little in the minors.

Well it’s a mistake because we lost….If we win it’s not a mistake is it?

We can second guess the decision and both sides of it can make valid points for thier side…

But a Manager has to make decisions based on the Roster he has been given. And lets face the facts here going to anyone in that Bullpen is a losing proposition! Even Byrdak…

When all you have is one lefty specialist you do tend to want to hold him back for a matchup that is a bit more important than the 7th…Hell for all we know he was saving Byrdak to be the closer that night with Francisco out.

Do you think Girardl’s decision on who to bring in to pitch was as difficult as Terry’s?
I don’t because he knows he has a pen who gets the job done and he can call on just about anyone in that pen and have a decent shot at getting the hold…

Not the case for terry. So we can nitpick on who he brings in or fails to bring in until the cows come home, but it was Sandy who left him short with a myriad of crap to choose from and it took him until today (right after Terry paused to choose his words so as not to hang his boss on a question about available lefties) that the FO actually did something about it.

And still what we did is not going to help the 7th and 8th innings.

As I say everytime that Pen is the topic of discussion….
Sandy’s Good Day is Terry’s BIG Nightmare!

Like a bad dream no matter what he tries to do it’s like he is running in mud and can’t get away from the monster…

It’s not really his fault because how can you make a GOOD decision when there is no good decision to make?

Terry made a decent case for Bautista…The game was tied and god knows how long the game would go like that.

If Bautista doesn’t give up the run you want Byrdack to face those big bats in extra innings.

But no matter what Terry decides the deck is stacked against him because the FO gave him crap to work with!

Metsie, it does not take a genius to see that if you got a lefty in your bullpen, and 3 out of the next 4 hitters coming up are either lefty or switch hitter you bring the lefty in… It was a bad move and i was just thinking “how is he not bringing the lefty in?
but either way, we lost, they won, move on..
