I understand what your saying I'm not really concerned about the matchups (R/L)

What I'm concerned with is Ike has been struggling and we are giving the pitcher an AB to perfect his pitches against LHB before Ike sees him.

Pitchers have different out pitches and different locations they use depending on L/R batting.
By having Duda in front of him he basically has an extra AB to work on pitching to a LHH which puts ike at a bit of a disadvantage.

As far as a lineup itself is concerned no problem with it at all. Just pointing out that it may not be the best thing to do for Ike sepecifically as we need him to break out of this slump (or continue with what he has broke out so far)

SO I would prefer they gave him another 2 weeks behind RHH just to keep the pitcher from getting that little extra time to get his LHH pitches working well.

But in general it shouldn't matter at all Ike needs to hit wherever he is. I'm just thinking more about the breakout than the norm.

I'm not liking the Davis behind Duda lineup just yet....

It seems to me a bad move to put him behind another LHB where the Pitcher has an entire batter to work on his Lefty Hitter approach as far as location and breaking ball feel before he gets to the previously struggling Ike Davis

I get the fact that Collins moved him up as a reward for his recent hitting but I still think you need to protect Ike a bit until his confidence has fully returned.

I would bat Hairston after Duda and then Ike after him.
That will at least make the pitcher adjust to his RHB strategy and maybe lose a little on the lefty feel.

It's a minor thing yes but any advantage to keep Davis on track is worth using right now.
Yes it would leave 3 lefties in a row at the bottom of the order but it shouldn't matter because no one is going to bring in a lefty specialist just to deal with the bottom of the order!

Now they will send him in after Wright and face Duda and Davis.

For the time being I would prefer they didn't Bat Ike after another Lefty.
