The fact that people even write about it shows clearly how happy some of the fan base is to become the KC Royals East. In 20 years when they win for a year, these same folks qwill pronounce the Alderson era a great success. too bad there’ll only be 12 Met fans left.

Far from being emotional, I think most Met fans would construe trading David Wright as a fundamental breach of organizational integrity, much in the way trading Tom Seaver was perceived…

I think the prospect of trading David Wright begs the question, “Would you trade David Wright to rid the Mets of the Wilpon family?” NOW, THAT’S a tough question to answer…

Personally, I don’t think the Mets will trade David Wright. I think Sandy has better sense than that, and realizes that DW is the only legitimate Hall of Fame candidate that could enter having a baseball career exclusively in a Met uniform.

Having said that, if Sandy knows that the Mets do not have the money to re-sign Wright, then it’s incumbent upon him to trade Wright & extract as much value as possible, lest he repeat the Jose Reyes fiasco.

A deeper farm system which will provide many of our needs. Empty seats? Give me a break. This is a BUSINESS, people. Take your emotions out of it. First rule of business: Never take anything personal. Wright knows this. Citi Field will be filled to capacity if trading Wright means a possible chance to be consistent contenders for years to come.

If the Mets are able to pickup his option immediately, then trade him, considering how he is playing now…I’m thinking Nolan Arenado and Wilin Rosario could be possibilities.
