  • yeah thats single A ball, so , nice to hear but not that important at all, lets see how the kids do against pro´s and guys with experience at major level , so lets see how they do in triple a .

    • Sorry Angelo, I disagree. They are as important at Luca Duda, Daniel Murphy, Kirk Nieuwenhuis and Josh Thole were when we first interviewed them as youngsters in Double-A and Single-A.

It’s easy to love a player after he succeeds, anybody could do that. But as the ultimate fansite, we embrace them from the moment we draft them, trade for them and sign them and follow them as they make their way up the ladder and to the big league team.

      • ok then double A at least , of course some of our guys went trough single a , but single a ball also produces so many players who didnt even get the next level, i said nothing against our players, but if we had the best record in baseball at double a or triple a level i would be more impressed , just saying

  • but you can see the good work of course

  • Pretty impressive stuff. I hope it spreads to our AA and AAA teams. We’ve done some good scouting and it was mixed with a good dose of luck. Let’s not forget that other teams passed on these same players. We’ve put winning combos together.

    • ideally some of these guys will be getting pushed up to the next level before too long. As long as they are age appropriate (or just crazy dominating if not), and the performance is there, it makes sense. Unless the coaches see something that is a red flag in their approach that they want to keep working on?

it will of course depend on roster space an needs at AA/AAA, but there always seems to be something happening with that.

Vaughn at least should move. And some pitching to replace what the mets will pilfer to fill gaps on the big club!

  • I have a feeling that in a couple of years we are going to have a nice run at the top of the NL East.
