Wright continued his stellar year with another great week. This year, he has looked much better, both at the plate and in the field. He is showing why he deserves an extension when the time for an extension comes.
Honorable Mentions
These players, although not winning the Player of the Week award, had a very strong showing this week and deserve to be recognized. We will also show how strong a showing they had through the use of the scorecard.

Trivia
To finish off the Player of the Week announcement each week, I’ll be asking you a trivia question. The answer will be announced during the next Player of the Week announcement, as well as the first person who answered correctly. Another question will then be asked. Last Week’s Answer is: Doug Sisk. Alex68 was the first person to correctly answer the question. So here is this week’s question:
Tom Seaver was the NL 1967 Rookie of the Year by winning how many games for the New York Mets?

Nice job by Wright but I would love to eventually see Duda or Davis win one of these.
It’s just a matter of time before Davis breaks out….
That’s what I keep telling myself as well but my fear is that with every passing game I keep remembering more and more saying the same about another Met 2 years ago, Jason Bay. If Davis is still struggling this bad come this time next month you have to expect talks about going down to AAA will become that much stringer.
stronger*
Just remember it took two months before an even more experienced MLB hitter (named Beltran) got his bat going after missing a year of not seeing MLB pitching!
He has looked a bit better at the plate than he was looking but he still has a way to go before he will be comfortable.
I am happy to sit through his struggles at this point, But he needs to get his swing back before we have to Carry Bay’s bad bat again!
16?
Damn, I was sure 3-F was going to win it this week. Guess those 2 massive flameouts hurt him after all…
and pretty sad that Davis is doing so bad that a .200 BA is seen as such improvement that he gets honorable mention!
How many blown games before we start calling him 4F Reject? LOL

34 complete games? wow , and NOW the training methods are better, food , all this things…. and we have to put out our pitcher everytime in the 6th or 7th ??? its kind of weird
he started 34 games. completed 18, which is still something that would boggle the mind today. As would the 251 innings out of a rookie!
