I have to commend you guys on the great joint effort you do when it comes to the Mets minor league teams and games.

I don’t visit many sites, but I start off every morning looking for Adam Rubin’s moring report and your team effort on the minors.

My hats off to all of you for “keeping the beat” going…

We made sure to get to last nights game in part because McHugh was pitching. He pitched a great game, and it was nice/cool to see him get himself out of a jam two innings in a row. He didn’t seem rattled at all, just kept on throwin’ and lo and behold got out unscathed. His one flub ended up near the railroad tracks over the left field wall, and even as he threw it you knew ‘ut oh’ – could even see it on his face – but I’ll take one whoops in a game full of good jobs anyday!

As for the defense and bullpen – ugh. They ruined a gem for McHugh, much like they did the night before. I cringe sometimes when Terry Collins pulls say Santana from a game and goes to the pen for fear of what may happen next, I’m beginning to do the same when Lopez does it here in Bingo. For as good and solid as their starting rotation is, they need to shore up the relievers here. I realize its all in the name of development, they just need to develop the later inning guys a bit better.

I hope you are right. I was in line to see Harvey pitch in Saturday’s game him pitch Sunday’s game but they had a rainout or something so now I only get to see Harvey on Sunday. Unless I drive about an hour back down Monday night on a school night… eh why not!

about time to move him up to AAA to see how he does, and keep stockpiling the rotation depth there.

call up hefner to start in place of Batista, then mchugh can step up to take his rotation place?

either that, or there could be someone in the Bison rotation that can move to the pen, right?

SOMOS FAMILIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Yes!!!! The other day some guy (Can’t think who) said this kid has no potential to be a SP… Well… Not everyone does, But to tell me this guy will not be a monster for the mets is selling it short… Book it here, FAMILIA will be a STUD for us for years to come.. He’s big, dominant, throws hard and most importantly, he’s improving start by start on his mechanics and throwing more strikes..

Very nice to see Familia pitch well and McHugh as well for the BMets. I wasn’t aware of McHugh being ranked that high among the leaders in the E.L. in strikeouts.
