If we are talking banned substances, they and the Orioles lead the league this year with 3 players suspended. 2 of the Mets guys were caught using recreational drugs. Muno is the only player in the Mets org caught with PEDs.

The MLB should have some sort of Sentence Compensation for those players who test positive but can identify the source. If the source is a Supplement taken in error (and available OTC) then the sentence should be lesser.

It seems a bit unfair to suspend a guy who unintentionally got jucied up due to taking an unapproved Supplement the same amount as a guy who clearly intended to cheat.

I know there are rules about un-approved supplements but the best way to combat that is to identify the supplements and get them off the market. Do that enough and you won’t have to worry about what is approved, what is not and what isn’t even mentioned on the list.

The companies who make them will be forced to make sure they are clean or lose their shirt!

In the case of a clear cheater, Great we caught him but isn’t getting his supplier almost as important?

I say move to a 75 game Suspension with a 25-50 game reduction for those who can prove it was a positive by error (not intentional) and a 25 game reduction for the real cheaters who give up their supply source and testify against him.

But I’m sure the union would complain as they seem to be more interested in protecting players who hurt their membership than they are with protecting the membership who plays by the rules.

This really sucks considering he was already getting a big advantage being one of the oldest players at his level. I guess all those nice numbers he was putting up means nothing now because they were all tainted.

Damn. He was one of my favorite guys to cover for St. Lucie, an exciting player, but nothing more than a cheater it appears.
