that other stat is really depressing. If he was having any kind of normal/productive year (never mind a huge start like last season) this team would have a whole bunch more wins.

Ha! Stengelise moment. I was writing about Kirk While thinking about who I was going to mention next only to find I mentioned the next 1st as well.

But yeah Ike has left a ton of runners on base. Here is an example of how many. According to Baseball-reference Ike is tied for 1st with J.D. Martinez in all of MLB for having the most baserunners on when they have stepped to the plate 89 to be exact. The percentage of those baserunners to have scored (not necessarily with an rbi) is 6%.

I know Ike is striking out at an incredible pace but I am not sure we should count him twice…

Yeah, Kirk has always struck out a little too much. Ike on the other hand, I looked this morning and out of those 26 K’s 15 of them have came with RISP… that not good.

Yea I was hoping he would win NL Rookie of the Month as well. If there is one concern in Ike’s game so far it is the strikeouts. He is 5th in the NL in strikeouts with 28/K’s. Not far behind him is Ike who is tied for 7th in the NL with 26/K’s.
