Cory Vaughn Rips 8th Home Run, Makes BA Hot Sheet
Baseball America’s Prospect Hot Sheet for the week ending May 4th has Mets outfield prospect Cory Vaughn ranked #2.
Last night, Cory Vaughn ripped his eight home run of the season in St. Lucie’s 5-3 win over Dunedin. He has been on a season long tear and ranks third in the league in slugging (.542) and OPS (.889) in the pitching friendly FSL.
So far the Mets have made the Hot List in three consecutive weeks with Matt Harvey and Zack Wheeler already getting nods.

Let me reiterate….I love this kid. Been saying since the day he was drafted…Son and cousin of major league all-stars and played for Tony Gwynn at SDSU. He’s 23, time to put him in AA.
He would already be raking in AA now if he didn’t slow down due to injuries last season. Do not be suprised if Vaughn makes a MLB appearance mid to late 2013. Sorry Duda.
