I went back and looked at the errors by den Dekker, and for the life of me I don’t remember them. His first error of the season, on April 19th, was in fact a game we were at but I don’t remember it being so glaring a mistake that it’s etched into my mind (either that or, since it was a Thirsty Thursday, I may have been downstairs getting a refill). Hopefully his plate prowess will outshine any flubs in the field – I like watching him play, and love watching his numbers add up.

I was almost stumped this week for a ‘profile’, there really isn’t much out there on a lot of these guys, but then I thought maybe something on Lopez might be good too. I think it’s great, looking through his teams and records in the Mets system, that he has progressed a the same time and rate as a core of the current B-Mets. He knows what to expect from a lot of them, and vice versa.

Alex, I have to say I’m impressed overall with all of our starting pitching here this season. Top to bottom, their numbers are respectable in my book, keeping in mind it’s all about development at this level and success in the win-loss column is just a positive side note (hopefully positive that is). They’ve all had strong outings this season, and I can safely say there hasn’t been a time where I’ve thought ‘ugh, so and so is pitching tonight, this could get ugly’. I’ve had those times in the past with the B-Mets, but not this year.

Now about Den Dekker, I see he already has 3 errors. That’s kind of high for 25 games from an outfielder especially one who keeps getting raves about his defense. Have you seen anything different?
