Yes they split 3-3 and considering they are playing with a lineup that has Nickeas, Cedeno a struggling Torres and a player mired in a season long slump in Davis. I will take that and run.

These Mets say what you will about their faults continue to scratch and claw to find ways to win so far this 2012 season. Props to Niese on a much needed solid performance vs a Bucs team that is struggling with the bat just as bad as we are.

Thole, Tejada and Jason Bay will soon be back and decisions will soon have to be made on Ike going down or not and who plays 1st base in the meantime plus who will be the starting outfielders once Bay returns. Hopefully all the decisions pay off and are good ones.

Positives was Niese giving the team a much needed solid performance followed by Parnell and Francisco doing the same.

It will be good to get back home and hopefully healthy during this home stand.
