For Southerners, New York City is like Las Vegas combined with Sodom and Gamora (I learned this after moving to Florida). For me it would take the Braves being bad for a long time to stop hating them. Besides that the Mets haven’t had any real rivalries because the NL East wasn’t good for a long time so yeah it was hard to have a rivalry.

It doesn’t take winning to have a rivary. The cards and the cubs have a pretty serious rivalry even when they are losing but what you can’t have is one team dominating the other then it just sucks for the losing team. This is why at least this year my team to love to hate is going to be the freaking Marlins. I don’t like their manager their obnoxious style or their owner. Oh and the Reyes thing just adds to it lol. Down with the Marlins.

Our “rivalry” lies within our-self! Let’s catch those fly-balls! Lets field those grounders!
Lets go a 3-game series without dropping a fly-ball or misplaying a grounder!
