Edgin is such a huge question mark.

I think a 2 year deal for a closer is actually fair market value. Other than Mariano, you can basically throw almost every MLB closer in a hat and pick one out and you’ll be in good shape. That’s why you don’t pay them what they paid KRod or sign them for as long as other teams sign their closers.

I’m okay with Francisco for 2 years. His contract doesn’t state (to my knowledge) that he has to be the closer during his contract, and he’s still a quality pen arm

Edgin and Parnell are going to be our late game power brokers by the time this season ends. I never would have given Francisco a 2 year deal, but it wont stop the inevitable from happening.

Man, it would be sweet if the Mets could get say Parnell and Edgin up doing that L-R power tag team for minumum wage for a few years. That would certainly free up money to spend elsewhere.

Tease, I can handle. Though you have to admit, that comment looks like every other time you mention the braves to me so why would I assume you were teasing?

Probably worth noting that Kimbrel is 4/4 and has a 0.00 ERA. He and Venters are ridiculously good, and I’d still take them on the Mets any day

YOU openly say you rooted for the Royals in the 80′s, Mariners in the 90′s, and now you’re rooting for the Marlins yet you get so offended when anybody suggests you are a fan of the Marlins, while also saying I am a fan of the Braves – which is something I never said.

Do you see the hypocrisy there? You openly say you like another team other than the Mets, and mock others for assuming they like another team other than the Mets just because I say Kimbrel or Heyward are good.

And by the way, Freeman is now my boy? why because I compared him to Ike Davis? I’d say that is STILL a fair comparison.

What a tough review this must’ve been for you jesseP eh? the team you LOVE vs the team you come to this site and pretend you root for.. what a shocker, keep an eye on heyward????? first series was freeman (your boy) this week is Heyward (you’re other boy). i will keep an eye out for our third series against the braves and see if you pick KIMBRELL to finish the trifecta.. Thole is struggling like crazy, specially behind the plate, your pick surprises me, after all, my bold prediction is he was gonna hit 300+ for the year.. so, fingers cross.. I also think we take 2 out of 3, but we gotta catch them early, don’t wanna go into a bullpen battle with the braves, because they’re bullpen is good and they’re at home..
and can you STOP drooling over kimbrell? hiw WHIP is 2.00
