Trivia

To finish off the Player of the Week announcement each week, I’ll be asking you a trivia question. The answer will be announced during the next Player of the Week announcement, as well as the first person who answered correctly. Another question will then be asked. Last Week’s Answer is: Rick White. No one got the answer correct. So here is this week’s question:

Who did the Mets beat for their first win?

  • Nice week for Nieuwenhuis. May there be many more!

  • Damn it, i missed out of ike davis who is STRUGGLING bad… Could’ve made the case for jason bay but Capt kirk was just too outstanding…
This week my prediction of POTW is:

    Daniel Murphy

To answer your question, not sure if you mean overall or this year or when, but the mets won their first game of their existant 50 years from today April 23, 1962. after losing 9 straight games to open the season the casey stangel led mets beat the PIRATES 9-1.. Jay Hook got the victory…

    • Was referring to overall, and correct on the Pirates! I didn’t even realize until after I put on the question that it happened 50 years ago today, so that was a nice coincidence.

    • Tyler, i figured that you posted the question based on the same date.. :-) Always nice when you coincide with something like that huh? Anyways, good job on the articles, keep up the good work.. It’s always good to get trivias here and then..

  • Atlanta. Actually swept them. Trick question

  • Kirk would of been my hands down choice too.
