Like Sandy Alderson is sitting up there saying, you know those two guys Bay and Alex? Let’s poke them a little. Who do you think they are? Us?

Besides, again it’s not like he is bringing him in this time to compete for a position on the MLB team. He is bringing him in because V-spin got called up and no one was ready in AA or they didn’t want them to be bench warmers.

Agree, these are only signings for journeymen who make the minor leagues their career. Better this than rushing up a level someone who is not yet ready for the jump.

nick evans was neither an all time great MiL player, nor a POS ML one. He was a good player int he minors, and had a few good moments in limited duty in the majors. So, he was a bench guy at best most likely, but he could hit LHP pretty good.

Emaus is a MiL back up, not a top prospect. And it is laughable that you think the FO brought him back just to “shove him down the fans throats”. They just happen to know him, think he can do the job they need done, and he was available.

How many players are all time great in the minors and come to the bigs and become POS?? Nick evans anyone??? It’s just the way it is.. Most of the sabergoons like this signing, i personally think JP and sandy want’s to shoved this kid down our throat and proved that they weren’t wrong on the Rule V pick up… Whatever,,,

guy had a strong BA and a lot of HR/RBI last year in AAA. So you ever think it might have to do with that also, and not just because he had a good OBP?

So the off-season is for finding 3rd string AAA backups? You guys are not looking at the impact of loosing Kirk, Jordanny, and Lowen. So backups take their spots and now you need backups for the backups. Unless you want to ruin some kid by rushing him up to AAA from AA to be a backup?

These are signings for the Bisons. Kirk, Valdespin and Lutz promoted to the Mets. Adam Loewen is hurt. The Bisons also lost another OF Corey Wimberley to a fractured wrist in ST. Don’t forget, Sandy also most likely DFA Zach Lutz and Josh Satin when he adds Matt Harvey and Josh Edgin to the Mets 40 man roster later this season and if 1 is claimed on waivers Emaus can play 2B or 3B for the Bisons.

Wow I’m surprised Emaus is back, but then again, the Mets didn’t wanna part with him last time. I love the acquisition of Fred Lewis. I’m not shocked that this happened after Bay went down. On top of that, Lewis is very good Vs RHP and gives us speed should the Mets choose to bring him up.
