It will be the first time since 1971 Mets are fielding an all home-grown 1 thru 9 and first time ever in franchise history in a non-September game

t agee spent months and last couple of years rehashing the past every day, virtually criticizing any player over 29 and praising the farm teams of whoever is the hot team of the moment telling us that’s how it should be done. And planned out a virtually all-homegrown team for 2013 that included Angel Pagan, Nick Evans, and Jose Reyes, but no Capt. Kirk, no trades except for a minor league catcher from Cincinnati, and no free agent signings.

After all of that, after the last couple of years, after miles and miles and miles of long, drawn out novellas and manifestos (which originally had no paragraphs!) that dealt with either the past or the future but not the present – look what’s happening in the present, an all homegrown team.

Whoops.

I said it in the desert with Ike struggling to me this gets the most out of the lineup. I like Murphy hitting 3rd. I don’t think Tejada hitting 7th does us much good.

A sweep would be nice.

for the lineup, I would really rather see Wright stay 3rd, and Duda cemented into the 4 hole.

tejada can hit 7th to break up all the lefties.

Keep that basic order, but flip flop Kirk and Tejada in the 1 and 7 spots, depending on a RH or LH SP.

murphy can stay in the 2 hole every day, catcher 8th, and the LF/IKe can be 5/6 in some order.
