Coaches, Players To Wear Gary Carter’s No. 8 Jersey Today

An article by posted on April 5, 2012

The Mets just shared a photo of what the players will see when to get to their lockers this morning. The whole team will be wearing these blue Gary Carter jerseys to honor “The Kid” today during batting practice.

What a great sight this will be.

I’m looking forward to seeing all the festivities and everything else the Mets have planned as they dedicate this first game of the season to Gary.

Incidentally, we are doing our part as well as we continue to raise dollars and awareness for the Gary Carter Foundation with every sale of our 2012 Mets Annual. For the low price of $2.99 you get a great Mets Annual loaded with great features and articles, plus the profits of every sale after expenses is going to a very worthy charity. We plan on raising as much as we can and then sending the Gary Carter Foundation a check at the All Star Break. If you haven’t already, download a copy for yourself today. It will be the best $2.99 you spend all day.

Enjoy the game today!
