Wasnt Edgin the best reliever in camp? Why he didnt make the opening day roster made no sense at all to me. Why have an open competition for bullpen roles and then kick the best one in the ass?

We should platoon Torres in CF with Nieuwenhuis as soon as he comes back. Get rid of Baxter for gods sake! Get Kirk some reps in LF too.

Hopefully it’s Francisco. I dont want any relievers going into next season with the security of a guaranteed contract like his.

It will be interesting where they fit him in. My guess is that they bring up DJ for Miggy in the next couple of weeks. Then by July when Edgin is officially “ready” someone like Rauch, Frank or Byrdak will be traded.

Josh Edgin will be in the Mets bullpen by the all star break and he’ll become a huge weapon for us especially against lefthanded hitters. I loved what he did in ST and he out-pitched Ramirez, Francisco and Rauch by a landslide. Screw Batista and bring up Edgin if he continues to dominate in Buffalo.
