Wining 20 games anymore in today’s game is not going to be as it was in the past. Pitch count being so important to most teams, many pitchers don’t pitch much past the 7th. Since anything can happen in the 8th and 9th, SP don’t always walk away with a win.

And what the hell, it will be this year. either Neise or Dickey would be my guess.

Ah hell, this is the Mets. When it finally happens, it will be someone completely unexpected like Batista, or a classic line score (something like Pelf for 5 innings with 7 walks, then 5 Rps to finish it out!)

20 games has gotten to be really rare, and I don’t think the Mets will be in a position to support that for a while. Even if a guy like Harvey or Wheeler or Familia comes up and reaches their potential, they have a better shot at a no-no in the first few years than winning 20.
