Phil Evans may turn out to be the best player from last years draft. His college commitment scared a lot of teams off, that’s how we got him in the 15th. That kid can hammer and has an excellent eye for a high school kid.

sounds like he isn’t really even a 1B, since that was a recent position.

so maybe he does end up as a 3B.

What the hell, he used to play SS, so get him over to 2B! He can replace my man Havens since I am about to give up on him…

The Cole Frenzel pick was one of my favorite picks from last year’s draft and I have a feeling he’s gonna be someone we’ll be talking about for years to come down the line. Even though 1st base is his primary position, I cant help but wonder if the Mets plan on seeing what he can do at 3rd base in the future because of him being blocked by Ike. Great read, Petey.

I apologize for sending this a bit off topic but it fits right in with a conversation from yesterday…

Here we have another kid who has some promise (he may not be BA listed but there is still time) but plays a position most fans would agree is set for the foreseeable Met future!

It is these guys who really have no chance no matter how well we develop them of making the MLB Mets, that we should be looking to move or package with the other guys logjammed due to MLB roster construct who could net us the catcher, CF maybe even be part of the package that gets us a solid Rotation arm!
