I’m surprised no one has mentioned those brought in FENCES everyone was swinging for when they first got to ST!

When you swing for fences you get oblique , Rib Cage and Back problems!

It’s what happens when you go up to the plate and try to hit HRs instead of getting your mechanics straight, keeping good balance in the box and just making the best contact by putting the fat part of the bat on the ball and letting the physics of that act put the ball over the fence instead of going up there swinging as hard as you can at whatever comes hoping to impress everyone else about how far PAST those brought in fences you hit the ball!

You know what I like about oldtimers? They’re smarter than the average bear. This myth that everything suddenly got better under this new regime led by a GM who hasn’t had a winning season since 1992 (20 years ago), is getting very comical to say the least. In fact most of the ones that gloat over Alderson on this site weren’t even born yet when Alderson last had a winning season.

2-3 days wasn’t that what we heard when Wright first was hurt? It’s been about a week now and it doesn’t sound he like he’s playing any time soon. Sound familiar?

So wait a second. Hairston is suffering from the same injury he ended the season on the disabled list last year. The same EXACT injury.

So where was the medical exam before he was re-signed?

Was an exam even performed?

Or was the spring training exam all the players got during reporting date the only exam he’s had since the season ended? The spring training exam that found Hairston still ailing from the same left oblique strain.

But I thought everything was all better now and we didn’t do stupid things like this anymore?
