Kind of depends on what and where it was inflammed!

If it’s onthe outside no prob just rest…
If it’s underneath it could be a bone spur that needs clipping!

I have no idea…..does rotator cuff inflammation often lead to surgery due to a tear or other ‘structural damage’?
Is it something that could be a chronic problem?

Hopefully not for either scenario.

Yes but it was (as mentioned) his between inning warmups not his initial pen warmups.

On TV they said he probably said something to Warthen in the dugout and Terry was watching him when he pulled up lame in the warmups and then made the move…

I’m not questioning the timing of the pull at all, just the dumb excuse that WIND can make you stiff!

Cold can but not wind unless it is accompanied by cold!
If I’m not mistaken it was neither, Beato was hitting 95 on the gun and no pitcher should be throwing that hard in the second ST game!

I don’t care how young you are you need to work your way up to game speed not just go for it and risk getting hurt for trying to do too much too soon!

The way I understood it watching the game – and the commentary Ronnie and KB gave on it, I thought it was his warm up tosses before his second inning of work that was the problem. In fact, SNY replayed those saying: ‘let’s see if we can see something in those last couple of warm up pitches’.

Hmm, just read this piece, and it seems to be a different scenario that what I remember reading last night.

In any case, it does sound like getting loose is a continual battle for pitchers.

No, he did. The way I read it is he was OK in his first inning, but couldn’t get loose when he went to warm up for the 2nd. That is when terry saw something and went to take him out.
