Go figure that Kirk would also get injured. Torres was just a place holder for Kirk from the beginning but Kirk is injured too.

Ron and Gary emphasized how much trouble the Mets have with no reserves and that they really have nobody to replace Torres for any extended length of time. They did add that there are always players released by other clubs in spring training – but then, what does that say about the quality of the players the Mets might pick up?

Great to see Duda take Strasburg deep to the opposite field. What’s even better news is that this type of hit will not wind up on the Citi Field warning track like previous years.

Hopefully it’s just a very mild strain with Torres. On another note Hitman will be happy to know Vaugn went deep again this Spring.
