2012 Draft: Under Armour All-America Game Announced

Under Armour announced Tuesday that the 2012 Under Armour All-America Game, powered by Baseball Factory, will be held at Chicago’s Wrigley Field for the fifth-consecutive year and will take place on Saturday, Aug. 18.

According to the press release by Baseball Factory,

“For five consecutive years, Under Armour has proudly supported the world’s most elite high school baseball players at the Under Armour All-America Game,” said Matt Mirchin, Senior Vice President, Global Brand and Sports Marketing, Under Armour. “The brand is committed to making all athletes better and providing the next generation of exceptional baseball athletes with the platform and resources to evolve their talents, learn from some of baseball’s greatest pros, play at a historic venue like Wrigley Field and maximize their talent.”

“Baseball Factory is excited to join Under Armour for the fifth straight year in what has become the premier high school baseball game in the nation,’’ said Steve Sclafani, CEO and Founder, Baseball Factory. “With over 500 events worldwide, our scouts see thousands of high school players before selecting the best to play at Wrigley Field in the Under Armour All-America Game. For these rising young stars, playing at Wrigley Field and across the country on MLB Network is an opportunity for exposure on the national level that’s once-in-a-lifetime. As evident over the last five years, many of these talented players will go on to be selected in the first round of the 2013 amateur draft and we are excited to provide such a great opportunity again this year.”
