Bob Klapisch of the Bergen Record is hearing that the Mets are ready to announce Josh Lewin as the replacement for Wayne Hagin in the WFAN radio booth for the 2012 season. Klapisch says that the former Texas Rangers broadcaster would be signed to a one-year deal. It was Neil Best of Newsday, who first reported that Lewin had emerged as a leading candidate for the job.
