And I get that technically Mejia isn’t a prospect anymore, however, he’s the about the same age as Familia and Wheeler, and actually younger than Harvey. My point is, if we are talking about Wheeler, Harvey, and Familia being the future of the team, we should include Mejia – He’s about the same age, and he’s just as talented.

He’s just as good as these guys, in fact, you can probably argue that he’s better. So, I don’t know why everyone forgets about him. If your worried about his injury, well, you shouldn’t be because there have been so many pitchers now that have had TJ surgery and came back strong like Carpenter, Hudson, J Johnson, Zimmermann, Demptser, and Stratsburg came back last year and dominated(1.50 ERA in 24IP). So I’m not worried about that at all.

And, for all the hoopla over Harvey, Jeurys had better #s in both A and AA, but he and they have got to stay healthy and improve for hopeful full-year debut next year for Familia and Harvey.

I’ve been talking up Harvey since we drafted him. In fact I argued with Donal, Agee, Bayonne and Hitman that he would be in AA in first year, AAA in 2012 with Sept callup, Mets rotation to start 2013. Said that before he threw a first pitch for us.
