Not much else to say.
Retire #8 is right. I look forward to the tribute the Met’s will put together for such a great ball player…We wish the Carter family the best moving forward.
Just damn.
R.I.P Gary. Thanks for the memories.
His daughter released a statement I just heard on the news saying (as best I caught on TV): ‘I know he’s reunited with his Mom and Dad and I’m sure he got a standing ovation as he walked through the gates’.
We’ll always remember you, Kid. He was such a remarkable player. person, and family man. He will be mourned and missed by millions.
RIP Kid
Certainly a dark and sad day not only for Met fans but for the game of baseball. Carter will be remembered as one of the all time great Mets, and more importantly as an all around gentleman and good guy.
Here’s to you “KID”. Thanks for your contributions to 86 and HOF career.
What a sad day for all Mets fans! One of our truly beloved guys. I’ll always remember how great he helped make the Mets in the mid-late 80s. Man, those were some great times!
Thanks Gary, you were something else!!!
OMG I just heard. This breaks my heart. I loved Gary so much. Rest in peace, Kid.
