Tremendous series of 4 articles. I'd like to say this about them Petey Pete: reading these 4 articles has made hanging around at MMO worth while, because they are the best of what I have seen here. This article on the Bisons caps the series as it shows us what we can expect for hope over the next couple years. It seems the future strength is in the OF and SP potential. The OF is brightened by the likes of Capt Kirk, Lagares, and Loewen; SP by Harvey, Familia, and McHugh. The IF seems a little thin with only Havens clearly standing out in my view. Carson brings future interest to BP. Those are plenty of opportunities for growth and improvement on the Mets as they develop. Not much help seen for catching. Nikeas better build up quickly. Hopefully the Mets do not blow this and we begin to see some glimmer of contributions as the 2012 season unwinds heading into 2013. I hope they prove me wrong and rebuilding actually does begin before 2020. Of course, the FO is always capable of rolling the best of them up in a trade and getting nothing back. I sure hope every one of these players makes it, because we sure do need them sooner rather than later.

Again, thanks for these superlative articles that give hope to the weary.

I would like to see Havens actually on the field, and doing baseball stuff before I start throwing his name around as a possibility for the Mets this year. My gut feeling tells me he really needs a full minor league season under his belt.

excellent piece Pete.

and yes, nice to see what looks like a serious AAA for the first time in a long time. If Buffalo complains about this team too, time to find a new affiliate!

Just curious, but can you see any scenario where Havens can break camp with the Mets? I expect him to be up soon anyway, but was thinking that if say Murphy just can't move well enough to play 2B, and they need someone, and he is healthy and raking in ST, who else makes sense?

A very good article. But I don't think that Chris Schwinden and Josh Stinson will be in NYC in April. Also, what about Jenrry Mejia? Won't he be ready to pitch in Buffalo fairly soon?
