Wow…and just to think that last night, I had a conversation about Prince with one of my friends about him following his dad’s footsteps, going to the Tigers. Thought it would be them or the Rangers. Makes sense he’d go to an AL team since he can convert to DH once he’s unable to cut it at 1st anymore. Add to the fact that Detroit lost V-Mart for most of next season so they needed someone of Prince’s caliber.

Pretty cool that he’ll play for his old man’s old team with Miguel Cabrera to team up with. Never thought Detroit was a contender for him, but I guess they thought he might be a tad more productive than, say, Hideki Matsui or Johnny Damon! Glad he isn’t going to be wearing Nats threads now!

9 year deal for a nearly 300 pounder. Seems a tad much, but the guy is a beast, so, you figure if he can keep his weight under control and give 6 monster years out of the 9 year deal and help put the Tigers in position to be champs, then its a good deal. Glad he won’t be in Washington for the next decade.

Good. Since we certainly weren’t signing him, I was hoping he didn’t sign with the Nats – or any NL east team. Actually the AL is even better.
