I disagree joe. I don’t think Sandy fell asleep, I think he has Chuck James, and is loath to be duplicitious, signing another lefty and clogging up the AAA roster and blocking a young arm from advancing…now if you disagree with him signing James INSTEAD of Piniero, I can agree with that…Piniero has more of a track record. But who knows James may end up a better bet, and is 3yrs. younger.

I would’ve liked to see the Mets sign a guy like Piniero.Especially on a minor league deal.Sandy fell asleep on that one.

yeah, but who thought the Nats would be so aggressive in both the trade route and in the F/A market. i didn’t.
Looks like we’re going to play ‘catch-up’ to the rest of the NL East for a few years. i didn’t think that a couple years ago, either. Bummer. Bring on 2014-16!

The Nats have a solid top 3 in their rotation that is controlable for the next 5 years. Hopefully Havery, Familia, Wheeler & Mejia pan out so we can have a similar situation to them.
