  Ugh….Reyes in a Marlins uniform. This just makes me sad.

  ‘Not surprisingly, the Mets will not be appearing during any of their national broadcasts, but they have yet to determine their August and September broadcast schedule.’
  This however is just fine with me. I’d prefer to never see the Mets on ESPN’s Sunday night game of the week. Hershiser is top of my list for most hated player ever to wear a Met uniform.

  Double edged sword though. If the Mets were a good team and expected to contend, you’d better believe ESPN would have slotted them in for several games.

  If we can skip Saturday FOX games too, I’d be more than happy.

    Orel Herhiser was an essential member of the 1999 Mets. After getting off to a slow start he finished strong winning 5 of his next 7 starts with the Mets winning all 7 games and I was at the game when he held the Pirates to one run in 6 innings and the Mets wound up winning that game on a wild pitch. The next day Al Leiter would defeat Cincy in that one game playoff.

    I enjoyed Hershiser’s time with the Mets because he helped them win big games enabling them to make the playoffs.

      All very true and not to take that away from him but as I said….my dislike goes back to 1988. Could label it irrational but there you have it. Much like I’d take a big pass on having Victorino ina Met uniform playing CF this year if he were available, even though he’s better than anyone we could currently start there come April.

  I might have to skip opening night on ESPN. I have no desire to start a brand new baseball season by watching Reyes hitting triples and stealing bases in a Marlins uniform.

      Really?????? you drooll on any atlanta brave player, especially kimbrell who youi slurped all season, were rooting HARD for the braves to make the playoffs and when they choke you disappear for 3 days as if you were a fan, you’re a work of art you know, since you hate jose reyes you now come up with this crap about i root for the mets, yet when they gave up last year to clear the path to your braves you were a very happy man.. my god, you’re pathetic, i WILL BE rooting for reyes all year, and my prediction of him being an important part to that team championship aspirations will come to fruit when they win the championship this year..

    Ya, stupid Sandy Alderson shelling out $140 million dollar deals on players like Oliver Perez and Moises Alou. Stupid Sandy Alderson for over seeing 2 straight collapses followed by 2 more losing seasons. Stupid Sandy Alderson for investing in a Ponzi scam that took away the emergency revenue source for the team.

    Stupid Sandy Alderson for putting the Mets in such a crappy position, Selig had to send someone to dig the team out of trouble.

    Another one that is not a Mets fan but makes false claims………….as well as not paying attention, yeah the FO is why Reyes is not here. If you like I’ll buy you a newspaper so you can learn about current events.
