48 days till we hear reports that Santana may come back early in May only to find out he’ll be out until at least June.
There’s a good chance that Johan the Warrior won’t be back to what Mets fans expect until 2013. He’s badly injured. Sorry, but the prognosis is not as rosy as Jeff and Fred try to create.

He never fixed him in the first place so how can he fix him again?
Warthen is a complete waste. His pitchers always get worse not better.
Maybe if the GM felt that solid, experienced catching helps a pitching staff, like it did here in 2010, then maybe we would see an improvement in our young pitching.
Instead he gets rid of one of them (probably because of his OBP) and doesn’t sign any experienced catchers like Blanco or Pudge because he feels he’s very smart and signs Rob Johnson because he finds “value” in that kind of signing.
Give me a break. This GM is on pace to be the WORST GM in New York Mets history. What the hell has this guy done to help this team? Nothing. And I don’t want to hear “well blame the Wilpons” because if this Saber Sandy had success immediately with his moves and Ike didn’t get hurt and the Mets were relevant in September than all the saber marching ants would be screaming “see? see? Sabermetrics and looking deeper into statistical analysis is the reason the team is doing good! Long Live Sandy” That’s what they would have been doing. But since almost all of Sandy’s moves are BOMBING it’s now the Wilpon’s fault.
Do people ever think that maybe Sandy’s reliance on this alleged “advanced statistical data” is one of the main reason his offseason moves of this year and last have been so awful?
He didn’t get rid of THEM, Omar traded away Barajas. He didn’t resign a 40 year old catcher, yeah that will make him the worst GM in history.
Um, when did this turn into a conversation about Sandy. And second of all, Alderson has been GM for just a little over year and your already predicting him to be the worst GM in Mets history? You can hate on the “saber marching ants” all you like but be a little more patient when your discussing the GM of a franchise that’s in a ditch.
How many towels do you go through a day wiping the hate filled froth that comes out of your mouth with each sentence you type? Or do you let it drip into the keyboard so you can have a little pool of hate drool to type into.
You can get broads on Craigs-List man, just saying. Might relieve all that stress.

48 days until that Met fan spirit comes back, only to be crushed a day later when Daniel Murphy, David Wright, Ike Davis, Lucas Duda, Josh Thole, and Johan Santana are all reportedly out for the year…
…but even baseball with Ruben Tejada hitting cleanup is better than no baseball at all!
48 days until garba… errr.. mets baseball begin…. by the way, is sandy alderson waiting to see what crap is out there can come even cheaper than the price they have now??
When your teams hands are tied because the owners can’t afford to buy balls and bats, let alone keep your best player, you are not going anywhere. We will be able to afford our own players when they become free agents. We will not be able to trade for a Keith Hernandez, Gary Carter Johan Santanas, Mike Piazza types of players because ownership can’t afford them. So it does not matter who the GM is or was their hands will be tied by can’t spend owners. SELL, SELL, SELL THE TEAM PLEASE.
