Pelfrey couldn’t throw a no no against little leaguers. I would give the nod to Niese, I really believe he has the stuff and the make up to be an above average starter. Time for him to step up and take the torch from Santana. I see Pelfrey having a productive first half to build up his trade value for the deadline.

I don’t expect to see Havens because I don’t see either of those scenarios happening (why am I going to project freak injuries?), but I’m hoping we can see Jonathan Malo come up to replace Murph, he’s going to be great.

The 31st reason for watching games is if the world truly comes to an end on December 21st this will be our last opportunity to watch Wilpon’s Mets baseball. :,(

Think of how much more enjoyable attending a Wilpon;s Mets game will be when the PA announcer is able to thank all that came individually by name.

BTW don’t count on the Wilpons selling their ball club anytime soon.

Having some fun with the “unforgettable Mets moment” angle then here is one I am sure would make for an unforgettable Mets moment. Matt Harvey pitching on Saturday Sept. 8 on Fox vs the Braves does the impossible and throws a No-No in his pro debut in front of a National audience.

Now that is the stuff of legends.

Can’t wait for games to start. After an off season filled with a lot of P&Ming by many fans, it will be nice to actually be able to watch and talk about real games. win or lose, it is still better than looking at a sheet of ice on my driveway.

as to the 30 reasons, I think Duda is going to have a monster break out year with the bat, and havens will be starting at 2B at some point this season. And for many years to come. bay will suck and at best be starting only vs. LHP most of the time before too long.

And going totally out on a limb, yes to the No hitter. Not sure who, and it may be someone completely unexpected, but it will happen.
