Someday, hopefully before I die, the Mets will rid themselves of the pestilence that blankets them and threatens to smother the very life out of the players and the fans alike. To shed the layer of filth that has entombed us all for so long. To see off, and wave bye-bye to the meddling piss-mongers the Wilpon’s.

Only then will the light appear at the end of this long dark tunnel, this never-ending journey through the underside of professional sports. This unendurable sentence that we, as Mets fans are forced to embrace and find some kind of solace in.
