I don't have a problem with it but I do have to ask why do the only moves we seem to be making this offseason all seem to be REPEATS of the moves we made last offseason?

We changed coaches last year and a year later change them again.
We revamped the scouting department last season and we revamp it again!
We focused on fixing the Bull Pen and we are focused on it again!

Running in place, spinning your wheels, is the phrase that comes to mind!

No it wasn't.

Alderson was an up and coming lawyer at the same law firm that one of the A's top execs was a partner in, I think. Alderson was brought over as the A's general council and worked his way up to GM a few years later.

Kind of like how Cahsen was an advertising exec at the brewery the Orioles' ownership had when he joined their front office.

Scary thing is that every team in the NL East has legit reasons to be excited. We are out of money and rebuilding. Awesome.

Best thing about finally making it back to .500 in 2016, is that my unborn son and future Mets fan will be born to a winning Mets team. Also, awesome.

off topic:

Marlins sign Heath Bell to a 3-yr, $27 M deal

Not bad, 9 million per. Hey whatever the Marlins feel is good for them - it's their money - good job.

....as all the other teams continue to show their fans they want to win and will fight to win. Sandy will sit and wait because he's smart, right?

y'know,

your there referring to Bobby V as a "manager out of storage" - we'd be SO LUCKY to have him back and with a different GM. You've made fun of Ruben Amaro and his off season so far and now your ragging on the Red Sox. Let me tell you a little something about baseball - The Red Sox have a solid team that is already bound for the playoffs next year and getting off to a good start will wipe away any bad feelings a couple games at the end of the previous season created.

That's baseball. But you keep on worrying about saving money, kissing Sandy's feet while things are so lousy with the Mets right now w/all the problems they have but yet you attack Boston and Philadelphia? Meanwhile major exciting changes are happening over in those cities, the fan base is charged up, buying tickets i bet while things couldn't be any more terrible over here.

But keep making fun of other teams.

i think it goes beyond just a couple games last season or more specifically a guy who rounded third and didn't look back, moneybags.

I think it goes a little bit more deeper than that. And as a Mets fan I don't think you're on to be pointing at anybody else going nyah, nyah, nyah.

But hey, u got Sandy to worship and all is right with the Mets. Ask Craig Lerner - he wrote how the season was a success, how Alderson had a "remarkable off season" last year and just today he was rah rah-ing w/those pom poms about how everything is going great and how the everything for the Mets was so baaaaaaaad during the previous adminsitration

just a touch of rose colored glass or revisionist history here.

Red Sox being held up as the model franchise? Fresh off a massive gag job last season, a debacle of losing the team (drinking during the game in uniform?), superstr GM bailing, ownership/FO spats, firing the manager that lead them to 2 WS titles?

Basically the team was a mess, and they went out and got a big name retired manager out of storage.

This makes them the beacon of positive energy?

I'm sitting here watching the Bobby V press conference and jealous of all the exciting and right moves other teams are making while the Mets bring all kinds of people from the A's.

It's getting even tougher now to even root for this team and even think of yourself as a Mets fan. It's real hard. Maybe the day will come will i cannot think of myself as a Mets fan as this turns into more and more of the type of team i can never want to root for. Time will tell
