Steve S. -- agreed. I'd like to have boht of them but with the Wilpon's right now, we're swimming up stream. Herrera is really a LOOGY. P.S.: He has an interesting life story which I find intriguing. Especially the time in the minors when a huge catcher stuck his hand up the back of Herrera's uniform, made him sit one his lap, and acted like a ventriloquist. It cracked the bullpen up!

I'm OK with Herrera, Des, but his good stats were only over 8 innings—a very small sample. And it looked like the batters were wising up to him a bit as he went around the league.

He's OK as the Mets' second lefty in the pen, but Kuo's stuff is electric, if he's on. He's just worth signing—and a big-market team without ponzied owners would spend the bucks to bring him to spring training.

Right now we are at the crossroads, yet again the mets borrow money from mlb. Why don't the wilpons let go so we can have real owners for once and make the mets a team of real tradition. So that we can have a team on the field we can be proud of. Yes kuo is good when he is on, why dont' they go for jon garland. he's been a good pitcher with some stuff. Why not sign both and see what they can bring to the table, also bring in puge to back up the catcher. we need some leadership and experince. my spelling is horrible. But the mets need new blood for owners to show our city that they do care mets blue and orange, and for the fans who have to pay those stupid salaries. These ballplayers should not get that kind of money, they get paid too much for the little they put out.
