His numbers may look good, but he has been anything but dominant as a closer since coming to Minnesota (his All Star numbers came while pitching for the Nationals). I simply believe (as a contact/location pitcher) he’s better suited in a set-up role.

Obviously this is just my opinion, but I’m not overly comfortable with having a contact pitcher as the Twin’s closer (we lost more than 20 games last year by 1 run).

Maybe you’re right though…my phone hasn’t exactly been blowing up with GM job offers!

I agree with Ryan, that he’s going to bounce back and have a solid season.

There’s no reason why he can’t bounce back.

I wish you guys the best next season…the Met’s are so talented I hope it happens. My Twin’s on the other hand will likely spend the entire season looking up at everyone else in the standings for yet another season because of their cheap owner!

In fact some reporter has to ask Bud the question as to why the Wilpons have gotten better treatment than McCourt did? Because the Mets are in equal financial trouble.
