Very nice kelly, i sure will miss him but i will be watching him in miami. i am sure they’ll be ahead of us by around 15 games come july so, alderson’s legion of fan will come up with some new excuse to defend him and his moves.. start getting the pictures of david wright, santana and bay kelly, most likely they’ll be gone by july…

Great article. I can’t imagine the Mets without him. Baseball is about fun, but the Grinch came to town and took the fun away. Now Whoville is sad. The life is gone and the sky is gray. There’s no crying in baseball, but there’s a tear in my eye and only a memory of what had been. I hate the Grinch because he took away our fun! The seats are empty and Citi is a ghost town and tumbleweeds blow over the mound. What was once is no more and will never return. The joy is gone because the Grinch stole our soul.

True. Look at the Phillies. They did nothing but criticize the Mets back in 2006 and 2007 for over the top celebrating and other forms of perceived gloating. So much so that they hung a Reyes jersey in Victorino’s locker when he started actually grandstanding. Then they get real good, they sign the free agents, they win, and they start behaving in the same manner they accused the Mets. Lots of arrogance over there, but I guess it’s ok. They didn’t call themselves out for that. Granted they didn’t get Reyes, but the point is the same — totally hypocritical.

like i said thanks to jose because he knew he wasn’t coming back. jose is not worth that kind of money because of his history of injuries, think about it, if his heart where it was jose would’ve signed with us five years 80 mil. really, look at yanks pitcher burnette, what like he’s worth that money with his history, come on guys, don’t blame the mets for this one greed got to jose.

why, it just goes to show us mets fans, just how jose looks were when speaking about the mets, like really they didn’t show you a great contact. It shows how whatr an ego jose has. like your worth that kind of money, you are not an elite player yet. you are a good player with a swollen ego. you wanted to go to miami because of ozzie being the manager, yes that’s right. Think about it right now the marlins are not gonna be on top, it will be some time. Jose should have been a gentlemen about about the mets. Like i said this sport is about money period, and it hurts us fans who can’t afford to see these players, then again i knew jose was leaving with his tail behind his bottom when he took himself out of the game. A real slap in our new york hearts. Thanks for doing that jose, you gave us a great memory of you to us.

Remember, the Marlins claimed his antics fired them up to beat the mets in 2007 and 2008. Wouldn’t want other teams getting the same fire now, right?
