Some points...
The 155 Million is not a one time purchase they probably have 10-20 years to pay it off!
The Parking is a money maker so whatever they spent there is going to come back.

And yes they are not too concerned with HR hitters like we around here are!

Well done Jessep as always. I still think NY is still the best fit for Jose. I'm aware of the Guillen factor and the Latin influence in Miami but once the novelty of the new ballpark wears off that place will be back to drawing flys and Jose feeds off the energy of the NY crowd. He won't be half as energetic and motivated like he was here when that place has week night crowds of 8,000 in July. I think if Sandy goes 100 for 5 and maybe a vesting option his family will push him to stay which is what I read they were doing when Alderson wanted to talk mid season. I know I'm in the minority but I still think he ends up back here unless a mystery team comes up at the last minute and blows him away like a Detroit.

Speaking with a friend that just recently relocated into my developement from Miami and reading articles by writers in that area they're all saying that building a ballpark in that location was a hurrendous idea. It's basically equivalent to putting a ballpark in Midtown Manhattan minus Mass Transit.

I don't blame Sandy for not wanting to go more than 4 or 5 years for Reyes due to the injury factor but when you consider the amount of money this team has coughed up for other free agents over the years for what they produced for their previous teams and since we don't lose any picks resigning our own player ans also factoring in the Marlins 1st rounder is protected I'm making a complete 180 and now feel that Sandy should give Reyes a 5 year 100 million dollar offer with a vesting 6th year for another 20 million bringing it up to 6 years 120 millon. If Sandy offers that right now I would bet the ranch that Jose signs on the dotted line.

Even if the option vests he'll still only be 33 to start the 2017 season.Do it Sandy!
