Rubin: Jefry Marte Breaks Wrist In Arizona Fall League
Third base prospect Jefry Marte suffered a broken left wrist in the Arizona Fall League and will require surgery. Farm director Adam Wogan tells Savannah broadcaster/PR man Toby Hyde that Marte should be fine for spring training.
Marte hit .333 with four homers and 18 RBIs in 78 AFL at-bats.
Petey Pete recently ranked Marte No. 15 in the MMO Top 20 Prospects rankings.

snakebit. right when he seemed to be making strides (though it is just the AFL!). hopefully he is 100% by ST, because wrist issues can have lingering impact.
You know what I think?
If you can’t teach the guy how to be a good baseball player in the regular minor league season then sending them to Arizona or venezuela to play an entire year with little recovery time is not going to help them!
If we really are adverse to guys getting hurt maybe we should play them into the ground the way we do in the name of TRAINING someone we couldn’t train with the reasonable time he had in a AA and AAA!
